S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) is a derivative of the amino acid methionine. It is present in all living cells and takes part in many biochemical reactions and metabolic pathways in the body. Ademetionine is not easily available from typical food sources.
 
Swallow whole 1 to 2 tablets per day on an empty stomach or as directed by the healthcare professional. Benefits may be observed after 7-14 days. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 1600mg per day (8 tablets).
 
Ademetionine or S-adenosyl-L-methionine 200mg per tablet. Also contains: microcrystalline cellulose, mannitol, carboxymethyl starch sodium salt, colloidal silica, anhydrous, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid copolymer, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate.
 
May cause drowsiness in certain people. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if affected. Other side effects may include restlessness, anxiety and insomnia. Some medications prescribed for improving mental health may interact with Heptral.
